What we do
We are an origin-side trading and supply business. The work is sourcing, qualification and introduction — not brokerage of paper, and not a marketplace.
Source at origin
We find sellers, producers and holders of physical commodity material in Mexico and across the wider Latin American region, and we go and look.
Qualify the counterparty
Who legally owns the material, who is entitled to sell it, and whether the entity in front of us is the entity on the documents. This is where an enquiry most often stops, and it is meant to.
Assess material and documentation
Title, permits, transport, chain of custody and whatever sampling or assay evidence exists — reviewed as documents, on their own terms. We are not a laboratory and we do not issue assays.
Introduce to the platform
Material we source for export is introduced through Commod, the platform buyers and sellers use to transact. It runs its own process on what it receives, and introduction is not acceptance: what Commod does with an introduction is Commod's decision, not ours.
Walk first-time exporters through it
A great deal of material in the region sits with people who have never exported. We explain what a counterparty will ask for, what paperwork has to exist before anyone talks price, and where a deal usually dies.
What we will look at
The remit is physical commodities broadly — minerals and concentrates, and agricultural and other bulk goods — sourced in Mexico and the rest of Latin America.
In practice we assess an enquiry on the documentation and the counterparty rather than on the commodity category. If the ownership is clean, the paperwork exists and the seller is who they say they are, we will look at it. If it is not, the commodity does not matter.
What we are not, and what we do not promise
This page describes what the business does. It is not an offer, and none of it should be read as an undertaking about a transaction.
- We do not own or control mining concessions, títulos, or water rights, and we do not represent that we can deliver material from any particular concession or property.
- We do not promise placement. Nothing here states or implies that any specific material will be bought, sold, placed or accepted, by us or by anyone else, or on what terms.
- This is not an investment. We are not offering securities, financing or a return, we are not soliciting capital, and nothing on this site is an investment opportunity.
- We hold no export permits, customs authorisations or special handling approvals in our own name, and we claim none. Permits belong to the parties that hold them, and we say so rather than implying otherwise.
- We publish no numbers we cannot evidence. No tonnages, no shipment counts, no assay results, no client names, no testimonials, no years-in-trade figure. If a claim is not on this page, assume we would not stand behind it.
How we work
- Documents first, price last. We do not discuss commercial terms on material whose ownership and paperwork we have not seen.
- We say no in writing. When an enquiry does not qualify we tell the seller why, so they can go and fix it.
- We do not speak for our counterparties. Commod is an independent company; we work through its platform and we do not represent it or bind it.
- Introductions are made, not sold. We do not charge sellers to be looked at, and we run no listing fee, no directory and no paid placement.
We also run our own internal tooling to keep this manageable at a small scale — structured diligence files, and automated checks and reminders on the documents an enquiry is supposed to have. It is bookkeeping for paperwork, built for our own use. We do not sell software and we do not offer it to anyone else.
